I was so excited to finally meet Caitlin Freeman, author of Modern Art Desserts, last night with friend Susan Livingston at the Columbia Museum of Art. I found her book on the shelves at the Irmo Branch Library and was blown away by her artful interpretations of great works of art. Got to see her create her Mondrian Cake with the help of pastry chef Leah Rosenberg and although I couldn't eat the chocolate cake, David sure devoured it when I brought my piece home to him. Check out Blue Bottle Coffee during your next visit to San Francisco and hopefully in it's new space when the SFMOMA reopens in 2016!
